THE BLUNDERS OF RIYAZUDDIN IN THE LIGHT OF QURAN AND HADITH

                  In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, the Merciful

                   

                              The blunders of Riyazuddin

  Mr.Riyazuddin Hyder Jaffari, the  late clergy who reintroduced the akhbari sect, was more of a tantric (the one who practices exorcism) than a scholar. His scholarly reputation is under question owing to the obvious blunders which he committed. Out of his many blunders we shall discuss only a few of them.

                                                            Blunder number 1

Riyaazuddin’s biggest blunder was the reintroduction of his own version of Akhbarism which included abusing of the clergy of Iran,belief in Tahreef (that the Holy Quran has been tampered with and is not the original one) and the belief that Imam Ali (as) and Allah are one and the same (God forbid).Quran is against sectarianism and openly condemn those who introduce and makes sects in religion. The Holy Quran says,

Muneebeena ilayhi waittaqoohu waaqeemoo alssalata wala takoonoo mina almushrikeena

Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanoo shiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona

“ Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with Allah(Mushrikoon). Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) sects, each party rejoicing in that which is with itself.”

Ayahsaboona annama numidduhum bihi min malin wabaneena(55)

NusariAAu lahum fee alkhayrati bal la yashAAuroona (56)

  "And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other).   But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself.  But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time.  Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons,   We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand.  

                                                                                                                       Quran:23:52-53-54-55-56

The  verses.no-31 of surah .no-30 clearly say,with a loud voice, that those who make sects in religion are polytheist (Mushrik).And it is none other than Mr.Riyazuddin who divided the  shia community of Hyderabad into ‘Akhbari’ and ‘Usooli’.I am afraid that Mr.Riyazuddin has been proved a Mushrik (polytheist) by the Holy Quran.And I think there are very bleak chances of refuting the above argument. If someone could counter the above argument I will be the most happy amongst all.A very wonderful and amazing concept we get from the last two verese (55,56) is that those who make sects in relegion are given lots of wealth and children so that they are totally lost in their blindening blunder and become worthy of the eternal punishment.A very interesting fact that comes to light when put a keen eye on our surrounding is that all those who are leaders of different sects are rich and opulent with good progeny. 

Imam Ali (as): "You should therefore avoid changing in the matter of Allah's religion because your unity on what is right (in your religion) which you dislike is better than your scattering away in respect of wrong that you like.Certainly Allah has not given any person, whether among the dead or among those who survive, any good out of separation."

Nahjulbalagha:Sermon-174: last paragraph 

Aban narrated that he heard from Sulaym who said: “I heard Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s) say: {The Ummah will be separated in 73 sects, of which 72 will go to Hell, and 1 will go to Heaven. From the 73, 13 will show their love towards us Ahlulbayt, from which 1 will go to Heaven and 12 will go to Hell.

Sulaym says: I asked: “O Amirul Mumineen, what do you think about those who stopped, did not accept you as Imam but do not consider you an enemy, are not jealous of you, are not very devout in their religion, did not accept your Wilayat, and also did not stay away from your enemies and said: I do not know anything – is he right?”
Imam replied: “He is not from these 73 sects. The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) has taken those 73 sects as those who are deniers, enemies, who came forward and called people towards their Deen. From these 1 will be the one that has chosen Allah’s Deen, and 72 will be those who chose Shaytan’s deen and will love the deen that they accepted. They will stay away from those who oppose their deen.

It is reported by Awf ibn Malik Al Ashja'l:
The Prophet said, "How will you be O Awf when this nation is divided into 73 sects. One sect will be in Paradise and the rest in Hell."
I asked: "When will this be O Messenger of Allah?"
He answered, saying: "When the police increase and slave girls take authority, and when the lambs (weak authorities) sit on the pulpit, and when the Qu'ran is used as flutes and mosques decorated and the spoils of war manipulated, and the obligatory charity becomes an excessive debt, and trust is taken like spoils of war, and religious study is not for the Sake of Allah and when husbands obey their wives, and disobeys his mother, and banishes his father, and the last of this nation curses the beginning of it, and when the tribe is mastered by a deviator, and the leader of the nation is the worst of them and a man is treated generously to avoid his evil. Upon that day it will happen and men will run to Syria to the City of Damascus, which is one of the best cities in Syria that protects them from their enemy ... " I asked: "Will Syria be opened?"
He answered: "Yes, soon then after its opening the trials will start and a dark and dusty trial will come. Trials will follow one another until a man from the Family of my House called the Mahdi comes. If you reach him, follow him and be among those who are guided."(At-Tabarani)

How can a scholar who is well versed in Quran can miss such basic teaching of Quran and commit the blunder of making a sect. Well, the answer lies in a famous saying of Imam Ali (as ) from Nahjulbalagha which goes as follows,

“Many scholars get killed by their ignorance (Jahl) and the knowledge they possess brings them no benefit (in saving them from ignorance).” Nahjulbalagha: saying-106

Further Imam Ali (as ) says,

“Knowledge is associated with action. Therefore he who knows should act; because knowledge calls out for action; if there is response well and good otherwise it departs from him.”

Finally, the Imam (as) says: “Most of the blunders of intelligence occur due to the flashes of greed.”

Sermon 17 from Nahjulbalagha of Imam Ali (as) is just a shocking description of scholars like Riyazuddin Hyder Jaffari, which runs as follows,

"
Among[1] all the people the most detested before Allah are two persons. One is he who is devoted to his self. So he is deviated from the true path and loves speaking about (foul) innovations and inviting towards wrong path. He is therefore a nuisance for those who are enamoured of him, is himself misled from the guidance of those preceding him, misleads those who follow him in his life or after his death, carries the weight of others' sins and is entangled in his own misdeeds.

The other man is he who has picked up ignorance. He moves among the ignorant, is senseless in the thick of mischief and is blind to the advantages of peace. Those resembling like men have named him scholar but he is not so. He goes out early morning to collect things whose deficiency is better than plenty, till when he has quenched his thirst from polluted water and acquired meaningless things.

He sits among the people as a judge responsible for solving whatever is confusing to the others. If an ambiguous problem is presented before him he manages shabby argument about it of his own accord and passes judgement on its basis. In this way he is entangled in the confusion of doubts as in the spider's web, not knowing whether he was right or wrong. If he is right he fears lest he erred, while if he is wrong he hopes he is right. He is ignorant, wandering astray in ignorance and riding on carriages aimlessly moving in darkness. He did not try to find reality of knowledge. He scatters the traditions as the wind scatters the dry leaves.

By Allah, he is not capable of solving the problems that come to him nor is fit for the position assigned to him. Whatever he does not know he does not regard it worth knowing. He does not realise that what is beyond his reach is within the reach of others. If anything is not clear to him he keeps quiet over it because he knows his own ignorance. Lost lives are crying against his unjust verdicts, and properties (that have been wrongly disposed of) are grumbling against him.
I complain to Allah about persons who live ignorant and die misguided. For them nothing is more worthless than Qur'an if it is recited as it should be recited, nor anything more valuable than the Qur'an if its verses are removed from their places, nor anything more vicious than virtue nor more virtuous than vice."

Footnotes by translator:[1]. Amir al-mu'minin has held two categories of persons as the most detestable by Allah and the worst among people. Firstly, those who are misguided even in basic tenets and are busy in the spreading of evil. Secondly, those who abandon the Qur'an and sunnah and pronounce injunctions through their imagination. They create a circle of their devotees and popularise the religious code of law concocted by themselves. The misguidance and wrongfulness of such persons does not remain confined to their own selves but the seed of misguidance sown by them bears fruit and growing into the form of a big tree provides asylum to the misguided and this misguidance goes on multiplying. And since these very people are the real originators the weight of other's sins is also on their shoulders as the Qur'an says:
And certainly they shall bear their own burdens, and (other) burdens with their own burdens... (29:13)

                                                          Blunder number 2

The second funny blunder of Mr.Riyaazuddin was his declaration that all those people who are the followers of the Ayatollahs and the Marjas (Taqlid) are bastards.He was very serious about this belief of his and you can find him repeating his statement regarding the illegitimate birth of all the usoolis (the followers of the Ayatollahs) in many of his speeches. By using such statements Mr.Riyaazuddin was directly blaming all the mothers of usoolis of committing adultery. This faulty belief of Mr.Riyaazuddin can be easily refuted by doing the DNA test of a few usoolis.Even if a single usoolis is proved to be of legal birth, the claim of Mr.Riyaazuddin will fall in the quagmire of false belief.Regarding blaming chaste women for committing adultery the Holy Quran says,

“ And those who accuse good women (of committing adultery) and bring not four witness, then give them eighty lashes (as punishment) and accept you not their testimony for ever; and these it is the wicked ones.”

                                                           Blunder number 3

Mr.Riyaazuddin used to curse Ayatollahs of Iran directly from the pulpit. Still his followers and his successors follow this practice. The Holy Quran has prohibited Muslims from cursing even the idols of the mushrika.The Holy Quran says,

“Wala tasubboo allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo Allaha AAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulli ommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhum fayunabbiohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona

“Abuse not those unto whom (false gods) they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully abuse Allah through ignorance. Thus unto every nation have We made their deed seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return and He will tell them what they used to do.”

                                                                                                               Quran:6:108

It very clear according to the above verse that we should not curse even the false gods of the polytheists openly hurting the sentiments of those who follow them. Even Tabbara (cursing the enemies of ahlulbait) should be done in secrecy; this is where the concept of taquaiyya (hiding ones belief) comes into play. According to many hadith, those who do not practice taquaiyya are not shia.This is because there are many aspects of shia faith which are not digestible to many and one of them being tabbara.How did Mr.Riyaazuddin miss such a basic point.?Well, the following saying of Imam Ali (as) is the answer,

““Most of the blunders of intelligence occur due to the flashes of greed.”

The return of the curse:
                                         

What goes around turns around. Yes, the curse which Mr.Riyazuddin used to inflict on others did return to him during his life itself when he cursed Imam Ali (as), God forbid, from the pulpit. To the contrary the successors of Mr.Riyazuddin call Imam Ali (as) as “Allah.” Calling Imam Ali (as) as “Allah” is the worst form of abuse because when a man called Imam Ali (as) as ‘Allah’, he (as) immediately killed that man and burned him. The successors of Riyazuddin do this heinous crime of calling Imam Ali (as) as “Allah” in almost every majlis and congregation. Any body can witness this heinous sin of abusing Imam Ali (as) by just attending any of their majlis (congregation).Abusing Imam Ali (as) and calling him (as) “Allah” are one and the same. Mr.Riyazuddin cursed Imam Ali (as) directly and his successors are doing the same thing indirectly by calling Imam Ali (as) ‘Allah.’ This is an obvious curse. Regarding such a scenario the Holy Quran says:

“(41) And we made them Imams (leaders) who invite unto the fire (hell), and on the day of Resurrection (Qayamat) they shall not be helped. (42) And We caused them to be followed in this world, by a curse ( lanat); and on the day of Resurrection they shall be of the hated (ones).”

                                                          Blunder number 4

It is a fact that Mr.Riyazuddin was the most unpopular scholar in the Shia community of Hyderabad. But it is also a fact that for a minority he was god. There are so many base allegations against him that I feel uneasy even to mention them. I believe that all of them are false, Allah knows the best. He was removed from the post of leading prayers (Imam-e-jamat) because of his second marriage, he was blamed for practicing magic etc, and etc.The list is huge. May be all the above mentioned rumors were false and baseless and were the doings of his opponent clergy group. It was false propaganda. But the fact is, some of his very close friend also became his bitterest enemies. And the list of such people is also huge. The reason for his unpopularity is not  clear. At a later stage in his life his followers included the most illiterate, perverted and hoodlum rots except a few.Mr.Riyazuddin was very much conscious of his unpopularity and use to defend himself by quoting the following tradition from the Holy Imams of the Prophets (saws) family,

“Those who love us (the family of Ahlul-bait) should be ready to face three things, disgrace, disease and destitution.”

All the companions of the Holy Prophet of Islam suffered disgrace, destitution during the time of their struggle. But as of now they are the most respected.Same is the case with companions of all the Imams of the Holy Prophets family. The point is, disgrace follow believers only for a short time. And the world respects them till time remains. For the Holy Quran says,

“Yaqooloona lain rajaAAna ila almadeenati layukhrijanna alaAAazzu minha alathalla walillahi alAAizzatu walirasoolihi walilmumineena walakinna almunafiqeena la yaAAlamoona

“ They say, "If we return to Medina, surely the more honourable (element) will expel therefrom the meaner." But honour belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and to the Believers; but the Hypocrites know not.” Quran:68:8

The following saying of Imam Ali (as) present in letter no.53 of Nahjulbalagha which was written to Malik-e-Ashtar runs as follow,

“Surely the good people are known by their reputation that Allah circulates for them through the tongues of the people. Therefore the best collection with you should be the collection of good deeds.”

The meaning of the above saying is that a man is known from the reputation he builds, because reputation is nothing but the voice of God. We think that we can make a reputation but it is actually the doing of Allah (the almighty); voice of the people is the voice of Allah.If a majority is saying that Mr. A is a good man, and then it is the voice of Allah. The whole world respects Prophet Mohammad (saws),the whole world respects Imam Ali (as), the whole world respects Imam Hussain (as),the whole world respects Salman (the companion),the whole world respects Abuzar.Where is disgrace and unpopularity.? Yes, people tied to humiliate them that too, only for a short time. Understanding the definition of respect and reputation will make the matter very clear.Mr.Riyazuddin never mentioned that above hadith of Imam Ali (as) at any point of time in his life though he was a very avid reader of Nahjulbalagha. Mr.Riyazuddin was a biased man. He presented only one aspect of truth and hid the other aspect. There are many versions of truth and the duty of a scholar is to present all the versions and find the uniting factor in them and present it to people. It is not fair for a scholar to hide ones blemishes by projecting only one aspect of a hadith.In conslusion,Mr.Riyazuddin spend his whole life preaching half truth instead of propogating the whole truth.The following list of verses from the Holy Quran will proove the opposite of what Riyazuddin preached,

Thumma antum haolai taqtuloona anfusakum watukhrijoona fareeqan minkum min diyarihim tathaharoona AAalayhim bialithmi waalAAudwani wain yatookum osara tufadoohum wahuwa muharramun AAalaykum ikhrajuhum afatuminoona bibaAAdi alkitabi watakfuroona bibaAAdin fama jazao man yafAAalu thalika minkum illa khizyun fee alhayati alddunya wayawma alqiyamati yuraddoona ila ashaddi alAAathabi wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona 2:85. After this it is ye, the same people, who slay among yourselves, and banish a party of you from their homes; assist (Their enemies) against them, in guilt and rancour; and if they come to you as captives, ye ransom them, though it was not lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only a part of the Book that ye believe in, and do ye reject the rest? but what is the reward for those among you who behave like this but disgrace in this life?- and on the Day of Judgment they shall be consigned to the most grievous penalty. For Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.
The last part of the above verses of surah-Baqura clearly says that those who accept a part of the book and reject a part shall suffer disgrace in this life.Riyazuddin sufferred disgrace because he rejected a part of the book.The word 'akhbari' is enough evidence to proove that he rejected a part and accepted a part of the book.

Wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan wala kitabin muneerin 22:8 (Y. Ali) Yet there is among men such a one as disputes about Allah, without Knowledge, without Guidance, and without a Book of Enlightenment,-

Thaniya AAitfihi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahi lahu fee alddunya khizyun wanutheequhu yawma alqiyamati AAathaba alhareeqi

 
22:9 (Y. Ali) (Disdainfully) bending his side, in order to lead (men) astray from the Path of Allah. for him there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Judgment We shall make him taste the Penalty of burning (Fire).   

The above verses from surah-Hajj clearly says those who misguide others shall suffer disgrace in this world.Was Riyazuddin not misguiding people by spreading the filthy concept of 'tahrif of removal' and akhbarism.

Falawla kanat qaryatun amanat fanafaAAaha eemanuha illa qawma yoonusa lamma amanoo kashafna AAanhum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya wamattaAAnahum ila heenin


10:98 (Y. Ali) Why was there not a single township (among those We warned), which believed,- so its faith should have profited it,- except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the penalty of disgrace in the life of the present, and permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 

The above verse from surah-Yunus clearly that if you believe,God shall remove disgrace from this life for you.

There are many more verses in the Holy Quran which say that digrace in this world if for the corrupt and disbelieving people.

                                                              Blunder number 5

Mr.Riyazuddin spent his whole life in making people feel safe from the chastisement (azaab) of God. He always had good news for all the drunkards, gamblers, murderers, adulterers and fornicators. Result, he could successfully made a gathering of a bunch of hoodlums and characterless and mannerless akhbaris.You will seldom find Mr.Riyazuddin talking about the dangers of sins. A just clergy should control the sinners and give hope to the God fearing. To the contrary, Mr.Riyazuddin was always busy providing hope to the sinners and anguish to the God fearing.Mr.Riyazuddin was in direct opposition to the following sayings of Imam Ali (as),

“ Certainly Allah has laid down reward for His obedience and punishment for committing His sins, in order to save men from His chastisement and to drive them towards Paradise.”

                                                                                     Nahjulbalagha: Saying-363

“ Lack of access to sin is also a kind of taqwa (fear of God).”

                                                                                   Nahjulbalagha: Saying-340

“ The most serious sin is that which the doer considers light.”

                                                                             Nahjulbalagha: Saying-343

“He whom sin overpowers is not victorious, and he who gains victory by evil, is in fact, defeated.”

                                                                               Nahjulbalagha: Saying-322

“Insult the evil doer by rewarding the one who does good.”

                                                                              Nahjulbalagha: Saying-174

And the Holy Quran says,

"What! do the people of the towns then feel secure from Our punishment coming to them by night while they are asleep?" (Surah Araf 7:97)

"What! do the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they play?"

 
(Surah Araf 7:98)

"What! do they feel secure from Allah's plan? But none feels secure from Allah's plan except the people who shall perish."
(Surah Araf 7:99)

If you listen to the speeches of Mr.Riyazuddin you shall always find him busy encouraging the evil doers and giving them hope. Hope should be given to those who fear Allah too much and are always worried about their action. And threat should be given to those who do not fear God and are busy committing sins. For, Imam Ali (as) says’

“A perfect jurist (alim) of Islam is he who does not let people lose hope from the mercy of Allah, does not make them lose hope of Allah’s kindness and does not make them feel safe from Allah’s punishment.”

                                                            Nahjulbalagha: Saying-90

The angels descend on those who fear Allah to condole and lessen their fear.The Holy Quran says,

Inna allatheena qaloo rabbuna Allahu thumma istaqamoo tatanazzalu AAalayhimu almalaikatu alla takhafoo wala tahzanoo waabshiroo bialjannati allatee kuntum tooAAadoona

" In the case of those who say, "Our Lord is Allah., and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear ye not!", "Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss),which ye were promised"
     
                                                                            Quran:41:30

Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) said,

"A believer is always between two fears. One is the fear of his past sins, (so) he does not know as to how Allah would deal with him. Secondly he fears until the end of his life and does not know the sins that might be committed by him, causing his destruction. The believer does not forgo his fear for his whole life, and his affairs do not improve without fear."
(Al Kafi)

Many of the followers of Mr.Riyazuddin died of Aids. In fact,  very close disciples of Mr.Riyazuddin whom I know died of Aids, and they also infected their wife and children with the horrible disease.God forbid, my aim is not to disclose the sins of some X,Y and Z.My aim to bring to light to horrible effects of the wrong and unbalanced preaching of Mr.Riyazuddin.Most of the Akhbaris of Hyderabad are highly illiterates and majority of them are local rowdies and hoodlums. The main cause for the spreading of Aids among the Akhbaris is illiteracy which Mr.Riyazuddin gave in ample amount.The Holy Quran says (Surah-noor),

Alzzaniyatu waalzzanee faijlidoo kulla wahidin minhuma miata jaldatin wala takhuthkum bihima rafatun fee deeni Allahi in kuntum tuminoona biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri walyashhad AAathabahuma taifatun mina almumineena

" The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment."

                                                                                  Quran:24:2

The Holy Quran wants  beleivers to witness the punishment of adultry so that they understand the greviousness of the act and try to abstrain from it.Almighty Allah wants the believers to be afraid of the consequences of ones sin.To the contrary, Mr.

Riyazuddin was busy preaching that all those adulterers, gamblers, murderers, thieves, backbiters, ill-mannered brutes who loves Imam Ali (as) shall go to paradise. But he never mentioned the following saying of Imam Ali (as) during his tenure of life,

“The persons most attached to the prophets are those who know most what the prophets have brought. Then Imam Ali (as) recited the verse of Quran “Verily, of men the nearest to Abrahim, are surely those who followed him and this (our) Prophet (Mohammad) and those who believe (Imams) –(Quran:3:68) and said: The friend of Mohammad is he who obeys Allah, even though he may have no blood relationship, and the enemy of Mohammad is he who disobeys Allah even though he may have near kinship.”

                                                     Nahjulbalagha: Saying:95

It was as if the above saying of Imam Ali (as) did not existed for Mr.Riyazuddin.Imam Ali (as) says,

“Lost lives are crying against his unjust verdicts, and properties (that have been wrongly disposed of) are grumbling against him. I complain to Allah about persons who live ignorant and die misguided. For them nothing is more worthless than Quran if it is recited as if should be recited, not anything more valuable than the Quran if its verses are removed from their places (Tahreef).”

A very amazing and wonderful thing about the last part of the above mentioned quotation of Imam Ali (as) is the attribution of the concept of ‘Tahreef (that the Quran is tampered with) to the corrupt clergy. The irony is that Mr.Riyazuddin was a staunch believer in the concept of Tahreef (that some verses of Quran have been removed permanently).And used to preach the concept very vehemently saying that those who don’t believe that the Holy Quran is tampered with shall go to hell. It means, if you believe that the Holy Quran is in pure form and uncorrupted you shall go to hell, amazing! Riyazuddin wanted to make people believe that the final word of God is already corrupted to the extent that many of its verses have been removed (God forbid).And for this Mr.Riyazuddin will get a great reward from God, very amazing!

                                                            BLUNDER NUMBER -6

One fine evening Mr.Riyazuddin was relaxing in his home when suddenly one of his started throwing burned match sticks at him and threatened him to burn.Mr.Riyazuddin could not take this, felt sick and was admitted at a hospital following which he died.Mr.Riyazuddin died because of his son’s curse ,the son whom he loved the most.

Riziuddin Hyder Jaffri, 3^rd son of Mr.Riyazuddin , cursed his own mother; the incident following which he cursed his mother is not known. His mother made a will that Mr.Raziuddin should not be allowed in her funeral. And when she died, Mr.Raziuddin was not allowed in her funeral.

One of Riyazuddin’s grand son, ill-treated his own mother and threatened to terminate her second husband.

These entire incidents prove that what Mr.Riyazuddin preached half truth.Mr.Riyazuddin used to preach vehemently that those children who show even a slightest negative expression on their face against their parents are bastards.Mr.Riyazuddin used to preach that whatsoever injustice ones parent do, one should always have a smiling face.Mr.Riyazuddin has to face the wrath of his son which ultimately became the cause of his death.Mr.Riyazuddin never mentioned the following hadith of The Holy Prophet of Islam:

"The parents are liable to be 'Aaq' in the same way as the children who do not fulfill the rights of the parents become involved in the sin of 'Uqooq' (plural of Aaq)."

Parents are not allowed to be unjust one own children.Injustice begets injustice. If parents do injustice then they have no right cry at the revolt of their children. Just as it is Wajib for the children to respect, honour and fulfill the rights of their parents, it is incumbent upon the mother and the father to fulfill the rights, which the children have upon them. If the parents do not fulfill these rights, it would amount to Qate Rahmi (cutting off the relationships). Since children are the closest to parents it is a must to refrain from Qate Rahmi with them, and Qate Rahmi is a great sin.(The Greater sins- Dastegheib Sheerazi)

Just as the children become 'Aaq-e-Waledain' by not complying with their duties, the parents also become 'Aaq' if they fail to perform their duties towards their children. Further, the parents should not impose unbearable commands upon the children such that the children are forced to find excuses for not obeying them and thus become 'Aaq'.

 The half truth preached by Mr.Riyazuddin had a heavy toll his own family itself.

Riyazuddin Hyder Jaffari was acting like a parasite. He was influencing a group of Shia by giving them smiles and tears for Imam Ali (as ) and Imam Hussain (as).He had gift of the gab, he was using his oratory skills along with his tantric skills (exorcism skills) in strengthening the akhbari sect. His philosophy was; give people what they want and in return they will come under your influence and do what you want. When we study parasitic behaviour we find that the main characteristic of parasites is their power of influence. There is parasite called Nosema (Protozoan) which infects the caterpillar of the flour beetle. The caterpillar of the flour beetle produces a hormone called ‘juvenile hormone’. When the caterpillar stops producing this hormone it will develop into a beetle, otherwise it will remain as a caterpillar. What this Nosema does is, it starts producing the juvenile hormone of the caterpillar. Being inside the caterpillar it has the advantage of fooling the caterpillar by supplying it with the juvenile hormone.It is amazingly incredible that a microscopic organism is capable of finding out the deficiency of juvenile hormone in the caterpillar and still amazing is it's ability to produce the deficient hormone to fool the caterpillar.Even human drug designers are incapable of such a feat despite of providing them with highly advanced labs. But humans can perform better than Nosema when it comes to deceiving people.The Holy Quran says,


"Wama min dabbatin fee alardi wala tairin yateeru bijanahayhi illa omamun amthalukum ma farratna fee alkitabi min shayin thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoona

There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but are communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.   "

Fig. The Nosema infected giant caterpillar.This parasitized foolish caterpillar thinks that it has grown into a giant.It fails to realize that it's real growth lies in turning into a beetle.But the Nosema parasite will not let that happen.It lives a lavish life on the food supplied by the caterpillar.The goal of the Nosema infected caterpillar is to serve the Nosema parasite.It lives and dies for Nosema parasite without acheiving it real goal.


Those caterpillars that are infected by the Nosema parasite never develop into a beetle instead they end up becoming a giant caterpillar. In this what is the advantage to Nosema? Well, the advantage is , the environment of the caterpillar is very good for Nosema whereas the beetles body temperature is higher and is not convenient for the growth of Nosema.The Nosema simply fools the caterpillar just by supplying it with the juvenile hormone and uses it for ones own growth. The caterpillar dies as a giant caterpillar without realizing that it had been fooled and had been stopped form developing into a beetle. According to the Holy Quran, all the examples found in human beings are found in animals and other living organisms.

Riyazuddin Hyder Jaffari made the grave mistake of turning his only late good son, Taqiuddin Hyder jaffari, into a parasite.Taquiuddin was a miracle in the field of oratory. He was excellent in making people cry for Imam Hussain (as).But, unfortunately he was parasitized by his father to carry his message of akhbarism.Hence, he was influencing people, to a greater degree than his father, by giving them huge amount of tears in the name of Imam Hussain (as) and in return inclining them towards the akhbari sect; just as the Nosema which gives juvenile hormone to the caterpillar and utilizes it for ones own benefit.Being a good orator is not enough.The holy Quran condenms oratory in the following verse,

Wakathalika jaAAalna likulli nabiyyin AAaduwwan shayateena alinsi waaljinni yoohee baAAduhum ila baAAdin zukhrufa alqawli ghurooran walaw shaa rabbuka ma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroona

" Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone."

                                                                                                  Quran:6:112

According to the above versed even devil is well versed in delivering adorned speeches.Hence, wonderful oratory should not be made the cretria for judging the truth.Truth has nothing to do with wonderful oratory.Further,Imam Ali (as) says,

"Between you and preaching (waaz) there is a curtain of deception."

                                                                Nahjulbalagha:saying:277

Oratory is nothing but playing with mass psychology.When you successfully trigger 5 or 10 minds, all the minds present in the gathering go into resonance and the result is a huge mountain of response.When people come and sit to listen to you, 90% of the work is done.You just have to deliver what they want, and the result is magical.Demosthenese,Odolf Heitler,Viveka Nanda etc were magical speakers.They were experts in creating mass hysteria.And in case of Demosthenese, people used to tear their clothes and injured themselves.According to the above saying of Imam Ali (as) oratory is deception.The following wonderful hadith by the 9th Imam,Imam Taqi-e-Javaad (as), will establish forever that oratory can be a very dangerous tool to deceive people,

"man asga ila natiq faqad abdahoo fan kana annatiq anillahi faqad abadallah wa an kana annatiq yantiqo anil lisanil ibleesa faqad abadal iblees"

"One who listens to an orator has worshipped him. Thus,if the orator delivers God's message, he (the listener) has worshipped god, and if he talks from the tongue of iblis, he (the listener) has worshipped iblis."

It is very clear form the above hadith of Imam-Taqi-e-Javad (as) that listenig to any speaker or orator can become a matter of heaven and hell.If you are in the clutches of a misguided orator you are definitely doomed and finished, only almighty can save you.
